A New Oil Transfer Pump You Can Trust for Industrial & Marine Applications
The Daisy oil pump is poised to apply time tested seal-less pump technology to oil transfer in a
wide range of applications. The design draws from a long history of pump successes from
Micropump to Transportation Research Corp.
Now VARNA Products introduces the Daisy Pump with the same sealless technology that has
proven itself for decades in applications from as small as a trickle of coffee to as large as a
locomotive.

The Daisy pump is designed for reliability measured in decades without any maintenance
or need for overhaul.
Features:
• Complete assembly of motor and pump that won’t leak - Completely sealed for
washdown and wet environments.
• Requires no scheduled maintenance
• Prewired 208/230 3-phase motor (460VAC available from factory)
• Flow up to 2000 liters/hr (9 gpm)
• Pressure up to 4 bar (60psi) rise
• Continuous duty
• Preloaded rolling contact bearings
• Internally cooled and cannot overheat, when there is some external flow
• Reversible – Switch any two lead wires
• Performs equally well turning in either direction
• Can deliver oil of almost any viscosity
Applications:
• Draining and filling engine sumps and reservoirs
• Prelubing diesel engines for long life between costly overhauls
• Transferring oil – back and forth and at different elevations
• Finishing and polishing of stored diesel fuel and other oil
• Ink jet carpet printing
• Filling and bottling plants and production lines
• Silent oil cooling of X-ray equipment in hospitals
• Pumping hydraulic oil through heat exchangers for cooling
• [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]ing through filters for cleaning
The Daisy Pump Performs!
• You can trust it to be there whenever you turn it on.
• You can trust it to run as long as you leave it on. – for years if desired.
• You can trust it do this without any need for maintenance or spare parts.
• You can throttle the flow down from 9 gpm to zero routinely with no trouble.
• It can never leak.
• It is submersible. – wash-down or flooded.
• It is self-priming and runs in either direction.
• It runs quietly, and is prewired for 208/230V, 3-phase AC power.
Use it aboard yachts and work boats for:
• Fuel management and fuel polishing.
• Engine oil pan draining and refilling.
• Prelubing and postlubing large diesel engines.
• Any other oil management process required on board or elsewhere.
The Daisy oil pump integrates the motor and the pump into one unit that is completely sealed
including the oil connections, which are standard SAE Straight Thread O-ring sealed ports. Oil
bleeds slowly into the sealed motor for positive cooling of the motor and returns through a
system of check valves to the suction side of the pump,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], whichever way the pump is turning. Fuel
pumps of this nature have been in service for years in diesel-electric locomotives. The Daisy’s
pressure relief bypass is inherent in the design of the unit and involves no extra parts. The
bearing preload spring responds to pump pressure and when the pressure force exceeds the
bearing preload force,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the pump rotor is allowed to move axially. This opens up the end seal of
the pump and bypasses the flow.
The Daisy’s unitary design is cost-effective. It also eliminates all the parts and labor required for
assembling the standard adapter and shaft coupling required for connecting an off-the-shelf
motor to an off-the-shelf pump. Varna’s CNC manufacturing technology further assures that all
pumps manufactured are exactly alike as to quality.
The Daisy will be produced in two models. Although both models are reversible,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], one will
include a reversing switch and one will not. For applications that do not require reversing or that
require special controls for other reasons, the lower cost Daisy-I without the built-in reversing
switch will be more economical. Otherwise the Daisy-II provides a rotary switch that is
designed for confidence and control. Both models are pre-wired and include a 6 ft cord and plug
for connection to 3-phase 208/230VAC power.
The Daisy Oil Pump will be offered for sale at a promotional price of $849.00 with no
reversing switch, saving $556.00 off the list price. The promotional price with a reversing
switch is $994.00, saving $662.00 off of list price.
Please see that the packing slip describes the product you ordered. Examine the package
as received. Any evidence of shipping damage must be taken up with the carrier.
