Life and Music Career
She is not only a pop sensation and international superstar, but also a songwriter, producer, dancer and actress. Britney Spears is a pop phenomenon, and is so super famous that she is not only known worldwide but is both loved and worshipped by millions of fans. Spears has been a pop icon for over ten years and is still conquering the music charts today.
Britney Jean Spears or Britney Spears as she is more famously known for was born on December 2, 1981 in Mississippi and was raised in Kentwood, Louisiana by parents Jamie and Lynne Spears.
She then went onto release In the Zone in 2003 [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with her single Me Against The Music featuring Madonna, proving a mass hit with audiences, and reaching the number one album selling over 600,000 copies in the first week alone.
Britney has then gone onto record the album Blackout which was released in 2007 and her sixth record [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Circus in 2008, which featured her hit single Womanizer which topped the charts at number on the Billboard Hot 100.
Early Life and Career
She was accepted along with fellow Mouseketeers Christian Aguilera, Keri Russell, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake where she performed on the show for two years until it was cancelled in 1994.
Her father was a building contractor and chef, while her mother was an early childhood teacher. Spears is the second oldest child, with her older brother Bryan born in April 1977 and younger sister Jamie-Lynn born in April 1991.
Britney returned home where she did normal teenage things, but she still yearned to be a big star. So she began recording demo tapes and travelled back to New York in 1997 where she was rejected by the likes of big record companies Sony and Mercury, but it was Jive Records who were blown away by her voice and finally signed Britney to their label. This step was only just the beginning of what would turn Britney into a superstar and the making of a celebrity pop star.

In 1992 she performed as a contestant on the TV show Star Search, and was finally old enough to reaudition for The Mickey Mouse Club three years later.
Two years later she released her debut record ...Baby One More Time, with the album’s title single becoming a mass success. It sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and reached number one on the Billboard 200 charts, which would prove to be only the start of her achievements.
From a young age Britney loved performing and took dance and gymnastic classes; however her true passion was always singing, so Britney, her mum and younger sister moved to New York.

In 2000 she released another hugely popular album Oops!... I Did It Again, which sold over 20 million copies and featured her hits, Toxic, Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know, Stronger and Lucky. This album was a defining moment in her life and helped to cement her position in the pop world as an icon to watch.
The record Britney lead to more mature material with Spears teaming up to co-write and produce with the likes of Max Martin, Dido, Josh Schwartz, The Neptunes, Justin Timberlake and Wade Robson to name a few.
Britney Spears was first introduced to show business when she was eight years old and auditioned for Disney Channel’s television show, The Mickey Mouse Club. She was too young however, but due to her exceptional talents a Disney producer persuaded her to get an agent.
