The Tindeck tracks, Breaking and Entering, and Gravity, are slower and more mature. The vocals change rather significantly from a whiny Violent Femmes tone, to a lower, more lamenting sound, much like the vocal difference in Beck's Sea Change album in comparison to the rest. The lyrics are more serious and the voice is quite unique. The growth in sound is very promising.
Found on their Myspace, the song Sundays Best features an organ that drones in cathedral reverence in the beginning, but enters into a circusy mid to end punk section. Their sound is fresh, diverse and dynamic. Rottenist Botanists is a straight forward song that showcases their raw song writing ability: it's simple but classically catchy in a non-pop-punk way. Although young, their punk roots respectively stretch beyond the 90's.
Based in Philadelphia, Transit Records is a rather new indie label with an ear for developmental talent. There are three bands currently signed to the label, two of which have demos posted. The Meat Room Junkies are an acoustic indie folk duo and Damn Frank is an indie surf punk band in the vein of The Ventures, Vampire Weekend and The White Stripes.

Damn Frank is a four piece indie punk band that will be digitally releasing an EP this summer. They have demos posted on their Myspace page and Tindeck as well. Their arrangements are artfully crafted like Vampire Weekend [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but more surf punk and sung in the fashion of Jack White. The demos are recorded loose and sloppy, but are overflowing with potential.

6 Rocks, also on Myspace, bobs and swings in surf safari flow and fine musicianship. Target Earth is posted on Tindeck and is lyrically more political than the others, again showing some of their underground punk roots. Like The Meat room Junkies, it will be interesting to see how this band will grow.
Currently putting a demo together, The Meat Room Junkies, have two songs posted on their Myspace as well as on Tindeck. Both sets of songs are rather different from each other and portray how quickly the group is growing into their own sound.
The Meat Room Junkies: Quickly Maturing Into a Unique Voice.
Weekend Afternoons and When I Grow Up are older recordings. They are upbeat acoustic folk that sounds much like The Violent Femmes, and The Velvet Underground. The lyrics are adolescently light drawing comparisons to cartoons and growing up [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but are tied to catchy vocal melodies.
With young talent like these in their studios, Transit Records will soon be a force to reckon with in the indie world.
