those of us who are feeling the ageing process start to kick in, a new lease of life could be the perfect remedy. PistonHeads.com has reported that the legendary original 1968 TVR Tuscan is to be resurrected and given a new lease of life by Midlands-based race specialist CWR.
After the overwhelming positive reaction to the TVR Tuscan at the race Retro show in March this year, CWR were prompted to produce [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or rather reproduce, a road-going version of the renowned classic car. Managing Director Mike Luck revealed that the new, and dare we say somewhat improved version of the Tuscan is to be called the Titan, and released by the end of August.
According to HadNews.com, the quintessential British classic car could soon be blessed with the quintessential heart of an American classic, which means the Titan will be powered by a 480bhp Chevrolet LS3 V8 [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with five-speed manual transmission, reports />
There have been many stories about classic automobiles that have been found discarded in old barns, and sadly this spectacular TVR has a similar story. However this story has a happy ending, with CWR somehow managing to obtain the original moulds for this particular 1968 model, which has been sitting unused for decades in an old barn, and going ahead with plans to create a road-legal version.
Mike Luck of CWR believes that there is a market for this type of retro-looking performance car [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and is confident that it will consist of a well-balanced package that will reflect the heritage and style of the original car whilst respecting and preserving the divide between the new version and the original version.
