A one-mile loop trail passes by three massive arches in the Windows Section: North Window, South Window and Turret Arch. When viewed from Turret Arch [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the two windows are also known as The Spectacles. Mostly level, the trail provides easy access to these huge arches.
This is one of the longer trails in the park. The entire loop from the trailhead out to Double O Arch and back via the Primitive Trail is 7.2 miles long. Hikers wanting a shorter walk often hike just to Landscape Arch from the trailhead. Landscape is the longest arch in the park, spanning nearly 300 feet.

Delicate Arch Trail
The towering sandstone walls along this trail reminded early adventures of a Manhattan skyline. Most hikers start from the South Park Avenue trailhead and proceed down the canyon to the North Park Avenue trailhead located at the Courthouse Towers Viewpoint. If a group has an extra driver, they can shuttle the vehicle to the second trailhead and pick up the hikers.
From Sand Dune Arch, hikers may proceed across the shrubby flat to nearby Broken Arch and even continue on to the Devils Garden Campground. Campers can hike this trail in reverse, looping from the campground to these two arches, then back to their campsite.

Beyond Landscape Arch [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the trail narrows and climbs up sandstone slopes and across exposed ridges. The ending
The trail begins at Wolfe Ranch, a historical cabin built in the early 1900s by John Wesley Wolfe a Civil War veteran and his son.
The hike follows the canyon bottom and passes by the massive stone towers of Sheep Rock, The Organ and the Tower of Babel. In spring, numerous wildflowers bloom along the trail.
Delicate Arch is the park’s icon, while the snow-capped La Sal Mountains in the far distance form a scenic backdrop to this spectacular arch. The three-mile round-trip trail to the arch challenges hikers because the trail gets most of its 500-foot elevation gain mostly in one section. With a few exposed portions along the trail, once at the arch the rewards are well worth the risks.
As space is limited on the guided walk, hikers are encouraged to make advanced reservations for this popular hike. This is a challenging trail, as hikers pass through pack-width crevices, scramble up slickrock inclines and pass along narrow ledges with drop-offs.
Named for the colorful rocks at sunset, the Fiery Furnace is a "cool" place. Narrow sandstone walls form a maze of canyons that receive only brief periods of sunlight during the day. Most hikers venture into this shaded area on guided walks led by National Park rangers. The three-hour long hike covers about two miles of unmarked trail, a testament to the mazelike nature of "the Furnace."
Over 2,500 named arches have been discovered in Arches National Park. Located five miles north of Moab, Utah, the park is a wonderland to explore. From the visitor center to the Devils Garden Campground, the main park road winds past huge sandstone monoliths, windows and arches of various sizes, and inviting canyons. Numerous trails, both short and long, offer visitors opportunities to explore this fascinating landscape of rock and sand.

The Windows Trail
The trail to Sand Dune Arch from the trailhead is short [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], only 0.3 miles round-trip. Tucked away between some tall fins of sandstone, Sand Dune Arch is named for the massive sandy hill that slopes downward beneath the arch.
